Blizzard Entertainment

BlizzCon, reimagined for a pandemic — no venue required.

Broadcast Live Event Production

Overview

Broadcast design, remote systems integration, and global signal management for Blizzard's first fully virtual BlizzCon (BlizzConline, 2021) — a temporary Communications Core that brought one of gaming's most iconic events to a global audience with no physical venue.

The Challenge

Translate a major in-person convention into a fully virtual broadcast — delivering content across multiple channels to a global audience with no physical venue.

How We Approached It

01Multi-channel signal architecture designed for parallel broadcast streams.
02A temporary Communications Core built for remote and hybrid workflows.
03Every technical path stress-tested against worst-case scenarios.
04Redundancy built into every signal path before show day.

Outcome

Delivered six simultaneous content channels to Blizzard's global community through a full pandemic shutdown — no venue required, no compromise on broadcast quality.
